YAY NORA! strawberyhooray November 2 2004, 13:41:52 UTC
This entry was AWESOME! There are simply no other words. It ain't easy being a Kerry supporter/anti-Bush person here in Uber-Conservative-Land. Left and right (no pun intended, haha), you've got various people calling you communist, unpatriotic, stupid, and... "gay" (for some reason, in this day and age, some folks STILL think it has a negative connotation!), and we're constantly being put on the spot. The most idiotic thing I've ever been told was to "go move to France if I hate America so much", but that's getting a wee bit off topic!

Anyhoo! Anyone, no matter who they support, deserve a helluva lot of credit for caring about our country. As long as they know all the facts, have a firm basis for an opinion, and don't spread hate, then there's no problem. So kudos to you for being so passionate about America and the future! <3

Nora it's a very nice entry, but a conservative could do the same thing and make bush look good and kerry look bad. It's all opinions, everyone has their own thoughts on the war in iraq and own reasons for those thoughts, there are no simple facts to it.

i hate to be rude, but who is this? if you don't like my opinions, don't read my livejournal. i have my reasons for liking michael moore and posting this in my journal, and if you don't like it, don't read it. i understand everyone has different opinons on the war and every other single issue in life, and i understand why people would vote for bush, and i understand that kerry isn't perfect, but i'm just stating my opinions for not liking bush. he's not my president. he hasn't done anything that directly affects me in a positive way. he hasn't done anything that directly affects my family and friends in a positive way. he hasn't caught bin ladden. he hasn't made healthcare affordable for people who need it. he's allowing semi-automatic weapons on the streets. he's locking up an unnecessary amount of nonviolent people who are addicted to drugs, instead of treating the drug problem, which would save more money. bush's priority is terrorism. my priorities are education, healthcare, and the environment. any president that gives a tax ( ... )

And I do agree with chunks of the letter.

No harsh feelings.
