I swear I'll start to use you more... just been super busy, and LJ's been super pissy. Someday we'll synch up again and when it does, oh I got some stuff to post..
holy crackers - i didn't realize that thread got so long!missgoalie75May 14 2011, 03:59:27 UTC
HAHAH I usually just read it through my e-mail and respond to the comment, so whoops.
Eh...I think the only thing I have against Sam being bi is that why can't there be a straight character on the show who, right off the bat, really doesn't give a crap about someone being gay, but otherwise, the show NEEDS a bisexual character.
Ian wrote the episode, therefore, Kurt usually comes out looking kind of awful most of the time. Usually Rachel does also, but I actually rather liked her in this episode. I was put off with Kurt in the beginning because of the way he basically forced Blaine to go to the prom when the guy has some legitimate, serious issues about going. And I didn't like that either, how he was telling Karofsky that this was "his moment" - he's CLEARLY not ready to come out when he's just coming to terms with it himself. Basically, Kurt was insensitive, which is typical :/

The problem I have is that Sam was brought on to be the new gay character. So it's more insulting that they changed him to put him with Quinn. The show does need a bisexual character - but Brittany doesn't fit that bill.. she's more of the type of person that falls in love with people who are mean to her, but is attracted to people who are nice to her. She'll never be with another female outside of Santana and they wrecked Brittana for me with Santana's voice over about wanting to be prom queen. The best thing about them was that she never judged her or looked at her as anything negative.. then all of a sudden she creates a plan that basically turns her into a character who wants to become a sexual predator to a mentally challenged girl
( ... )

I wonder what made the writer's change their minds...*shrug* But yes, I agree about Brittany. I would say that she's pansexual more than anything. To be honest, I kind of felt that way about Brittany/Artie - I just found it to be strangely like a father/daughter relationship, which is WRONG.
Yeah...not a fan of the Kurt-stans. Because Kurt is FAR from innocent. He was actually one of my least favorite characters last season because of the things he did. This season I think he matured a little bit, but the character is still not in my top 5. It's a shame because Chris Colfer is a fabulous individual and I think he's SO talented.
To be fair, Karofsky did terrorize Kurt for a long time, but he really does seem to realize the consequences of his actions now.

Brittany/Artie work in a weird way.. honestly the only one I wouldn't be creeped out with her being with is Sam.. they're both kind of dorky and it would just seem.. right.
I like Sunshine more than Kurt. just sayin. Chris is growing on me though.
Yeah but the difference is that Kurt was out and Karofsky is ignorant.. Kurt knows this, he knows what it's like to be in Karofsky's shoes.. hell he fake dated Brittany, Tina and Mercedes.. Karofsky was bad but what Kurt is doing is worse because he knows how hard it was, the same thing with forcing Blaine to go to prom.. Blaine was this pillar of strength to him and then something comes along and he crumbles and Kurt makes it all about him instead.

It wouldn't have happened though if LJ didn't go wonky for like 2 weeks straight though.
