Long Story Short

Well, it was about a 19-hour drive, but Erin and I, along with my family and a slew of very frightened cats, are holed up in a hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Everyone is okay, and there's nothing to do now but keep an eye on the news, try to keep the cats quiet, and maybe (if we're lucky) get some sleep. The good news -- the hotel has internet access

And I'm glad Erin is there with you. I know that it must be horribly scary for her, but at least you are together and she's not up in PA worried sick about you.

All I could think last night as the wife and I were watching the news was "Damn, I'm such an idiot. WHY did I tell Blake I wanted to see what would happen if a hurricane hit New Orleans???"
