Great column, as usual. I tend to avoid the internet buzz because so many people get horribly up in arms before something even hits the stands that it drives me insane. People have no patience to read something and give it a chance before decidiing that it's the worst crap ever produced. I've been guilty of continuing to buy a series I wasn't enjoying (like X-Factor after #100) because I wanted to know what happened to the characters. I had the same opinion you did of New X-Men after House of M but I stuck with it and am enjoying it again. It's not as good or as it originally had been, but I'm finally enjoying it. Admittedly, I had to stick with it longer than I should have had to for it to get better again, but I liked the characters enough to stick it out.

But truthfully these days with money more tight I'm more likely to drop a title I don't enjoy, but not simply because of a change in the creative team.
