I need to pay my car note. But I can't, because I can't FIND the damn little booklet with the slips I'm supposed to send in.

This is my fault. Every month I tear the house apart trying to figure out where I put the blasted thing, and every month when I finally find it, I put it aside someplace that I'm SURE I'll remember next time. Then

I had that problem paying a credit card online. They just have it misspelled in the system. I tried to imagine the likely errors someone on the phone might make in spelling my mother's maiden name and started trying them. Eventually, I got the right one. You could probably pay in person.

I tried several misspellings too, but I still couldn't get it to work. Paying in person hadn't occurred to me -- I may try to do that.
