Season's First Camp

It sounds wonderful, and what a beautiful view you had - the moonlight on the lake must have been incredible! Very glad you got out while the gettin' was good, though, and made it safely home - blizzards are best enjoyed with a hot beverage in one's own cozy kitchen!

Everything under the moonlight was gorgeous. The moon itself is so much brighter at the high elevations, especially when the humidity is so, so low. It cast sharper shadows than the campfire, and even illuminated the inside of my zipped-up tent!

And I've totally learned my lesson on adapting my weather-checking habits to this region. :)
