I love your answers.

Sand of Bone is an awesome story and I can't wait to see your final version.

It's so amazing to read about other people's writing process. Especially if I've read their work. It's interesting to connect the process to the actual project produced and see how it evolved through a person's mind.

I can't wait to see the final version, either! :) I'll be lugging the stupid laptop to Wiscon in an effort to continue forward progress. Last weekend was a total bust for writing time.

I like reading about others' process, too. After all, I got the Magic Index Cards from someone else (though I can't remember who...)

I'd love to take my laptop to write, but she's so heavy to carry around the airport, you know? And a pain to fit under a seat. (And NO WAY I'd put her in an overhead luggage compartment.)

So, I'm going to write on my iPad, instead. So far, she's a real pleasure to work on...and fits into my purse.

I'm supposed to meet someone Saturday morning to write if you want to come.

I think Bear does, or used to, use them?

Yeah, the only reason I'll consider taking the laptop is that I'm driving rather than flying. I've got my Kindle Fire -- perfect for web access while I'm traveling, and even doable for short writing spurts -- but I can't revise existing stuff on it so... sigh.

YES. I agree /so much/ with your comments about novelty.

Thanks!

Novelty, too, is in the mind of the reader. Things totally blasé to a long-time reader will look fresh to an inexperienced one.
