yes, i have seen it. and it is really upsetting - that someone would think of rewriting Hamlet for this reason.
I liked Ender's Game, and I like it still :) It is a one-of-a-kind work, a parable even, that presents ethical problems really well. What is the author's solution to those problems is, of course, another matter.

in more seriousness, whatever approach to ethics it has, it's pretty powerful and rather... supremely crafted, in a way. solution is flawed, but watching the process is fascinating. (and contagious, of course, which the article picks on pretty well. speaker for the dead has the discordance between what speaking is supposed to be and what it is kind of more evident and therefore, in a way, easier).
спасибо, очень интересно! правда, я, как у меня водится, не читала О.С. Карда, но то, как Джон Кессель исследует комбинацию невинности и взятия на себя вины за свои поступки (которое gratuitous act) - с точки зрения цели, а не только причин, - меня впечатлило.
Он (роман Карда) довольно короткий, не случайно это считается практически YA lit. Короткий, но очень точный.
Когда я его читал, я всего этого, про невинного убийцу, не видел в упор. И чувства после чтения были примерно "Эк как они его подставили!". Однако от второго романа однозначно было ощущение несколько нездоровое.

Когда я его читал, я всего этого, про невинного убийцу, не видел в упор. И чувства после чтения были примерно "Эк как они его подставили!". Однако от второго романа однозначно было ощущение несколько нездоровое.
