*Auspex turns from the room to which she directed the others -- steeling herself against the need to do something, a wish to at least attempt to soothe the pain of the sparks she is leaving there. It is spiritual agony... surely Primus could ease it, if only a little! But for now, they seem to only want each other nearby, and she respects that; still, it hurts, to just leave them like that

Blackstar has been pacing since the others had filed out, the strength of the re-infusion of essence buoying him up, making him restless. It's like being overcharged, only without the fuzzy CPU and the horrid, tank-lurching cycle-after. That moving also distracts him - not much, but every little bit is appreciated - from the lingering pain of denying the Allspark once again also factors into his pacing. Auspex's voice drags his thoughts back to the moment, and he pauses mid-step to face her again.
"Not many ways I could look worse," he replies, faintly amused.
Amusement, however, fades to seriousness. Seriousness, and wistful hope.
*she nods* They were given to you by one of them? Apparently one or more of them remember the incident... that's encouraging. Did they say anything to you, if and when they gave you the drawings? And... what about Snowcat and Demolishor?
"One did. Zamboni One, I mean," Blackstar nods again. A slow smile drifts across his features as he continues, "Little bugger came looking for me. Tracked me down in my quarters at the base."
"He remembers," Blackstar adds, his tone and mood a little more somber. "More than the others, at least. He's kinda upset that Dem and Cat and I will never be pals. He's clever enough to see it, but too young to understand it, and young enough to want it real bad. But he remembers."
That last part stirs up the hope again, and he finally meets her gaze with something approaching acceptance and balance.
At least where the Zambonis are concerned, at any rate.

"Yeah," he replies with a nod.
