Life is good. I had a decent conversation with my brother for the first time since I graduated high school. If Mom gets her way, he'll be coming to study here, probably at Todai. It'll be good to see him again ( Read more... )

Sounds great, I don't want to lose my English. We don't get a lot of English-speaking clients at the club.

And music? Hahahah. J-music is way popular there, obviously. >D But I'm a fan of Bowling for Soup, They Might Be Giants, and Green Day. Barenaked Ladies is also awesome.

When I moved back here, I used to call my friends back home at least twice times a week just so I wouldn't lose it.

Green Day is good. Ever a fan of The Offspring?

Damn, that's expensive! I just use Skype and emailing people. Oh, and US television.

The Offspring? Not particularly. I just thought they were angry all the time.

Totally worth it, though. I switched to Skype after about a year though, even if it isn't as reliable as a phonecall.

Yeah? I kinda liked some of their stuff. It was also good for drowning out Britney Spears.

Todai? Hope he started studying yesterday. The entrance exams are absolutely killer.

The kid's pretty smart. At least 98% on all his finals at high school without studying.

...It's Todai, Bane. He'd be able to do the work just fine, but there's a reason why it's known as having the highest admission standards in Japan.

I know, Ryou. I wouldn't have said it if I didn't believe he could do it.

Todai is popular, rightfully so though I think.

I know you directed this towards Akazawa, but I couldn't help but put in my own input.

2) You might try Panic! At the Disco

Agreed. And hopefully it'll have the challenge that Hideyuki needs to actually motivate him to do some work.

PAtD is pretty good. I have quite a bit of their music already.

When your brother is old enough, I'll buy him a drink.

There are a lot of bands you can listen to. First is what type of music are you into? You want more along the lines of those bands or do you just want anything? I have a few that you can borrow if you're into harder music.

Well, he graduated high school last year, so he'll be old enough to drink next year. But... I'm not let anyone go near him for.. at least a little while. There are things I need to do.

I listen to pretty much anything, though I do prefer stuff I can actually sing myself. Good voice training.

I had better be able to pour his first shot.

For English music I usually listen to Nine Inch Nails and Tool. Tools is pretty hard but the singer has another band, A Perfect Circle, that is probably better for singing.

Maybe. Because you are awesome. But I doubt it'll be his first time drinking.

Tool was always a little too hard for my tastes. I'll have a look in A Perfect Circle though. Thanks.

Working on my brother's birthday present. He's a huge fan of the movie Spirit he's gonna kill me for telling anyone that so I'm covering some of the songs. But most of them need a piano and me and piano's don't mix.

This is the one I really need your help with. Up for it? I'll buy you dinner or something as a thanks.
