Neil Gaiman: American Gods, then Anansi Boys.

I can prolly make a few more suggestions sometime.

I just finished The Glass Castle it was very good, and a quick, easy read.

I think I'm looking for something a little more light hearted... The book sounds interesting but a bit depressing >.>;;;.

I recommend the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong. Smart, tough, supernatural women, the books are sexy and fun (but not sleazy).

Also, in the same vein, Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs.
