Since Simmons didn't succeed in killing Joss in this universe, I can afford the luxury of almost feeling sorry for him, knowing that John's all-consuming need to protect and avenge Joss is now focused squarely on Simmons.
Mrs. Soni vs Shaw... What a formidable match-up, haha! I love the confrontation between their two distinct, yet well-meaning, styles of TLC. Plus, it's good to see that John has a strong and caring support system to help him through his illness.

I'm glad you enjoyed this. I had fun keeping the warring caregivers off stage, but very much involved in Reese's recovery. His mood is much darker than he allows Finch to see. And in the next story, Recuperation, the evil Simmons meets a fitting end. Thank you for your kind and supportive comments.
The multi-lingual dispute between Shaw and Mrs. Soni was too delicious to pass up. I wanted a contrast between the comic antics off stage and the grim thoughts swirling inside Reese. Finch mediating, balances between the two moods, keeping the peace in the kitchen and in Reese's troubled heart. Thank you for your comments.
