Updated Good Books List

I've had multiple requests to update my Good Books List and categorize things a bit better. This is not up on my site yet, but it will be soon. In the mean time, here's the updated info.

this would possibly be a good list on list of bests?? If you want I'll do it, even if only for me to keep track of how many on the list I've actaully read!

http://www.listsofbests.com/list/1907 there you go. A list you can tick off.

I used items as breaks (cause it doesn't use just breaks) and included repeated books in the breaks.

Have you considered making a "starter list?" There's a lot of requests for "where do I start," and giving those people a list of 150 recommended books just overwhelms them.

That's what the "Introductory" section is. I generally copy/paste if I'm trying to answer someone's question, that's why they're now in categories.

I suppose I could make another page with just those books.

You're the second place I've seen mention of Timothy Roderick's "Dark Moon Mysteries" this week, which means I should pay attention to it. D'you have any quick comments on it that you can share (why you recommend it, what it's about, that sort of thing, that the blurbs online may not hit?)

I do have (and quite like: I keep coming back to parts of it) his "Apprentice to Power".

I think I originally picked it up because I was looking for books/info on the Dark of the moon and Dark Goddesses.

Blast! That reminds me I forgot one on the list.

Anyway. I read it and liked it enough to keep it on the list, though if you're looking more for deity type information, I'd suggest The Dark Archetype by Dumars and Nyx and Dancing in the Flames

If I remember correctly, and it has been a while, his book focuses a bit more on concepts and rituals surrounding that phase of the moon, deities, etc.

Do you mind if I snag this and post to my LJ so that I can cross off the ones I have/have read?
