Do not turn on the burner that is directly under the cookbook. My Game of Thrones cookbook now has a beautiful sear mark of my stove's electrical element on the cover. Plus it smells bad. And your husband will laugh!

I have the smallest kitchen!!

:) Thanks for the tip, I have to try to remember this! What did you make from the GoT cookbook? I have a friend who's been making recipes for each new episode. They all look really tasty!

I made Sister's Stew. I do not like clams so I subsistuted scallops. Next time I will only use 1 pound fish and added shrimp. It had, at least for me, a very strong fish flavor. Saffron is mighty expensive! I have also made Breakfast on the Wall. My son wants beef and bacon pie.
