Hey all. Been a long time since I posted in here. Here in good ole Polk County now. No idea what's going to happen in the future except we'll be out of here by November. Sorry to hear about all the problems....well, especially the heat. It's hot here, and I got sunburnt on Saturday (I was at a powwow south of Montreal, and there was no shelter, it was outdoor seating at the main dance "arena.")

Glad you have a decent mp3 player.

Also, regarding the Zimmerman trial..how do you feel about it being compared to that other one? The one about the woman who fired warning shots when approached by her abusive husband...and given 20 years. Would they have gone easier on her if she actually shot him? Just makes no sense.

Captain Planet? I'm not surprised that there's fanfics of that show, it was pretty big. I remember watching it on Saturday mornings on NBC and weekday afternoons on YTV. Where is Archive of Our Own? And does "The Pit" mean Fanfiction.net?

Hey man. As far as the Captain Planet thing goes, I guess I was more surprised that I saw fanfic still being written for it. I know it was big, hell I watched most of the show back in the day.

The Zimmerman thing, I wanted him to get some jail time. I don't think he had malicious intent or anything, but he still killed a young kid. We'll never know how it truly went down, but that's just how I feel about. That woman shouldn't have gotten any jail time for not actually shooting his ass. Our justice system is jacked up sometimes.

I'm going to eventually write something. I don't plan on going years between updating fanfic.

Thank you for the link. It looks very nice.

I'm surprised he got off completely scot free. But then it seems, "the law is an ass." The Florida attorney general wants the law seriously looked at (and ideally changed). It's one thing to stand one's ground, it's another thing to just "shoot first."
