I've come to the conclusion that I really have no idea as to what I want to do with my life. Psychology or art? I'd love to do something dealing with anthropology, but then why do I need to take all of these graphic design courses? Am I just wasting my time ( Read more... )

I was a melodramatic little thing period in my old journal. Yay for fresh starts.

Now, I'm not going to pretend I know ANYTHING about art, but if you're interested in both art and psychology, maybe you could go into art therapy?

Looking into art therapy programs on the graduate school level is what initiated my little freak-out actually, so it's funny that you mentioned it. Schools like NYU want you to have a strong foundation in ceramics, drawing and painting... none of which really exist at umbc with the exception of intro to drawing.

Well, that's frustrating. =/ Do you think there are schools that aren't adamant about it? Or that NYU & schools like that will ignore those kind of details?

I don't know. If I hate my Graphic Design classes next year, I'll email department heads of various schools to ask.
