I love this look at House and Wilson's characters and their relationship through the eyes of a man who makes House look like a saint. Excellent!

Thank you!

I didn't write this as fast as it might seem. It was a mostly-finished draft from months ago. Stumbled on it while updating my fic index last night, and surprised myself by realizing how it ended.

I think Tucker absolutely does not understand House and Wilson's loyalty to each other because he isn't capable of that kind of thing himself.

This is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for writing it. It's pitch-perfect on Tucker. Reminding us all why we love to hate him.

Thanks! It was an unfinished draft from ages ago and I stumbled on it last night, and suddenly I knew how it ended. Nightdog helped get the last few lines, and has my gratitude for that because it was making me nuts.

It's weird to write in Tucker's POV because in order to do it I have to sort of believe him for a while. And he's so full of shit. He seems a lot nicer than House but he's clearly got no moral compass at all, no convictions.

I really don't think Wilson, in canon, ever intends to talk to him again.

To write in someone's POV you have to be really inside them. I wouldn't have been able to do it, because "he's so full of shit" and so inside him, it stinks. Thanks for holding your breath long enough to give us this fic (and yay to House exacting revenge!).

Those two deserve each other.
Yes. Yes they do.

Is it very evil of me to be glad that House was willing to stoop to a little Tucker-torture knowing that Wilson never would?

Other people have an innate sense of self-preservation. Wilson's is external and its name is House.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Sums up why they need each other perfectly.

They absolutely require one another. :-)

And I am still happy to see you. I need to go see if you've posted anything I've missed while I've been away.

--That comment is as good as the fic!

I had to chuckle at the reference to the PCA button. After all the fuss this season, I keep thinking, People's Choice Award.

Ooh, love it! Scary House! I have the feeling that House would rip Wilson's liver out of the guy if he could get away with it....

Hm. I don't know if he would; what's done is done and Wilson has suffered enough guilt, but you know House had at least a few stray thoughts before the surgery ever happened.

It's easy to forget that House really can be a scary, scary dude sometimes. What's interesting is, I think Tucker was unsettled less by the implied threat of violence than by the emotion behind it. That depth of caring for another person is so foreign to Tucker that he thinks it's complete insanity.
