This is my own personal take on Kripke's self-imposed rules if the Show didn't get renewed after the writer's strike: answer all the questions and still leave them hanging. I started writing this as soon as I heard about it, hence the timeline shift that ignores (what was the future) half of the season.
The sun flared bright and died, heavy gold that pierced the limbs of oak trees and melted away before it crested into the other half of the world.
