That Lucifer is working from a twisted perspective of love. The way he appeared to Nick as his wife, and to Sam as Jess, etc. Goes along with that thing you talked about (I can't remember where in the review) about Lucifer wanting Sam to love him and him only, thus wanting to get him alone (and away from others he might love, like Dean, etc).

Am I close??
