Anyway I was looking at the dramatic chipmunk again on Youtubeness and determined that the pose is fake. The last half of the video is looped to make it look like the rodent is staring. It's still funny, but would have been special if it had been totally supernatural.
Awww!! Thanks!!! :D Maybe you can come see it sometime! And I'm sure Susan has told you, but there are bunches of classic cars up there too for you to ogle. There's a classic car show one weekend a month (I think) at the Subway just down the hill from the cabin. So many beautiful, totally mint cars! I did not, however, see any Impalas while I was there. Made me sad. There might have been one that passed me in traffic, but I can't say for sure. The car was moving way too fast and I almost didn't register it at all. But it was black and sleek and had the coke bottle body styling going on. So it could have been an Impala. But I did see a GM truck very similar to the Old Man, except it was light blue-green! LOL!
