I remember that Yuletide request, and I remember cheering when I saw it, though I never did anything with it. :D I'm just rereading the Outlander books, and WOO! This was great. :) (And I was pointed here by kyuuketsukirui, if you're curious.)

This was very interesting and well-written. I'm afraid I have never read the Outlander series, however, so I have no point of reference for the canon end of things. But I liked it!

Loved the senerio. I know it's highly unlikely that John will ever get Jamie in cannon, but it was lovey to read about. I like how much angst you packed into it.

I actually meant for the second ending to be the happy/smutty/fluffy ending. But...well, the smutty worked, but as I wrote, I realized that the happy/fluffy part just wasn't going to happen.

I've been searching for LJG fanfics for ages till I found your story on ff.net!
It's absolutely incredible how you managed to keep them in character.
Although the first ending seems more canon, I have to admitt I like the second ending more! *g* Long live the smut!
Is there any chance you will write more Jamie/John fics in the future?

Those two are terribly difficult to get into bed together (or, in this case into coat together?). Hence the two ending. The first is the "official" ending, ending that wrote itself, and the second is the "Come on, guys, I'm suppost to be writing some smut here. Can't you *please* cooperate!" ending.

I loved writing this, and I hope to write more LJGfic at some point (though at the moment, school and Harry Potter have eaten my brain). I have some vague ideas for another story, but not enough to pull a whole fic together. Maybe the soon-to-be released Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade will help. In the meantime, this is what I do have ( ... )
