Hello YOU! \o/ As a fellow writing enthusiast, I share your appreciation of a literary-related ego boost. I hope one day you decide to share some of your work with me the world! ;D

I really have to stop reading things about animal cruelty. It kind of ruins my good mood. Anything even vaguely resembling cruelty to animals will stay with me for the next week

Ugh, so much word. I can't stand it. I can watch vicious scenes of human torture and shit in movies and not even blink, but the minute somebody kicks a cat or something I start simultaneously >:( and :'( -ing. Yep, my priorities are definitely in order.

Anyway, I'm glad things are reasonably cool for you right now! I'm wafting lots of well wishes your way~~~

YOUUUUUUU!! It's just so goooood to hear that someone actually appreciates your writing. Sometimes in that class, I just get a kick from having someone read something I've written, without even getting any praise for it. I am so so self-conscious of pretty much everything I write that having someone read some of it is almost like I'm telling them this deep dark secret and it feels good, damnit! Although, everything those people have read has all been written specifically for that class. I'd have to really trust someone before I let them read anything else ( ... )

I hear ya-- I used to be really nervous and apprehensive about anyone else reading anything I wrote, and I think it's one of those things you can only get over once you've learned to like your work and stop being afraid of criticism. Now, yeah - I get a kick out of sharing it too, whether they give me feedback or not. I think being an avid reader helps as well, because it reminds you what it's like to read something you love/can relate to/think is awesome, and it's nice to think there's someone out there who might have those feelings about something you wrote. Does that make sense? Sorry, I'm burbling on! :P

Ugh, animal abuse is one of the few things that really gets to me. Like, it can really mess me up, in a very short amount of time. I get so fucking angry - I actually think it should be a law that whatever horrible thing you do to an animal gets done right back to you. Idgaf if someone has issues or whatever - there's NO excuse, and I definitely feel like the punishments aren't harsh enough. In a way though, I'm kind of glad I ( ... )

Dude, that makes total sense and I feel exactly the same way.

I... don't think I even know what career you're in, unless I've just forgotten D: I've always had this idea that I'd like to be a vet or to work at the RSPCA but I think that I'm too sensitive to do either of those jobs. Unfortunately that kind of work involves actually having to confront animal abuse or just animals in pain generally and yeah, while I feel really strongly about animal cruelty, I like to be able to push it to the back of my mind and lie to myself that it doesn't really happen in the real world. Doing one of those jobs would require me to confront it on a daily basis and I doubt I'd be able to handle that side of it.

I saw your post the other day but was just heading out so I didn't have time to comment and then being the failboat that I am, I forgot to come back to it later lol. I will go look right now :D

I'm the same way with animal cruelty stuff--it depresses the hell out of me and then I have to go find my cat and hug him for an hour or so (which I'm sure he likes, anyway).

Your life is actually less dull than mine, because all mine is is work. But I'm planning a trip to go visit my girlfriend in a couple of weeks, so there's that :)

Exactly! Whenever I read or hear about anything like that I go and cuddle with either of my cats until they beg me to let them go XD

YAY \o/ That will be awesome! I hope you have an amaaaazing time :D

Getting/discovering new music is one of the best things in the world, I think. Such a good feeling. Also, I keep going back to watch that Craig Ferguson interview with Zooey D. I swear, the more I see her, the more my girl!crush on her grows stronger ♥___♥

It's just so depressing to think that people still think it's okay to hurt animals. Like someone already said, the punishments are so minimal that it really doesn't send a message at all. Like, a $200 fine isn't going to send as strong a message as you know, having to do community service or something. The part of me that's particularly passionate about it wishes the punishment for people who abuse animals is that they have the same things done to them as they did to the animal. That would definitely send a message :/

Oh dude, I love writing fiction for myself but I hate hate hate writing essays and all that stuff. I'm pretty sure every single essay I've ever written was started at most a few days before it was due.
