I've just got back from an evening at the open air
Proms at Castle Howard. Basically, I've been sitting or standing on a hillside outside Castle Howard in the pouring rain since about 6pm. I have never been so damp!

I've always thought the dedicated prom-goer was a tad eccentric; I think you've just confirmed it! ;) Having said that, they're exactly the type of people who are fascinating to observe... ideally from a nice dry marquee. :)

It was fascinating to watch the people all around us. One woman was screaming at the ten or so people she was with because they weren't listening to her when she was getting the food out. They had the temerity to continue with their conversations instead of listen to her listing the food stuffs. Later on in the evening, I was grabbed by a very drunk woman, who saw 60 quite a while ago, and pulled into an impromptu Can Can. Which was fine until she started yelling at me, 'Show 'em your bum!' and pulling me double!
I've dried out but I've not too sure about the jeans I was wearing!
