[Raine's simply on her way back home after teaching and finishing some errands. She has her staff with her since ... well, you really just can't walk home anymore through Luceti without having some form of defense.]
[And before she can get too close to her home, since that is a place Yuber isn't supposed to hang out at, a demon will be showing up to attack.
Raine might catch on that something is different from the last time. This time the demon only has one sword, not the two he had last time.
Though he actually does hesitate slightly because he remembers the annoyance Albert had the last time he attacked this woman, so this attempt will probably miss, unless Raine is really out of it.]
[While her mind is preoccupied by a few things, that doesn't mean that she isn't paying attention to her surroundings. She maneuvers out of the way to avoid the attack, and holds her staff ready.] You -
[All that much more a shame, though it at least means he will be entertained by this.] Is there something so wrong with wanting to shed your blood? [But he's not going to give her much of a chance to answer and instead will be trying to attack again.]
[She notices the change in his choice of weapon, but there isn't really a chance to question that as again she narrowly manages to dodge, preparing to catch the hit with her staff.] I prefer my blood where it is.
Yuber is annoyed by the sword being blocked such such a pathetic weapon. He pulls it back quickly and moves to attack again.] The end result just depends on which of us is less pathetic.
[Yuber's just going to have to get creative, because she keeps backing up when he changes his attack and continuing to guard with that so-called pathetic weapon.] Then perhaps you should consider finding yourself a sparring partner.
[Creative is easy enough, because Yuber is definitely getting annoyed at how hard it is to hit some of these people and all he wants is to draw some blood. So instead he's going to change his position and teleport behind Raine.
And also he's going to aim lower this time and force her to take the time to have to move her staff and possibly not get her staff moved in time.]
[Raine had a feeling that he'd start trying tricks soon enough, so when he disappears, she turns as fast as she can to meet the attack - though the fact that it's aimed in a different location wasn't something she was prepared for.
Since she can't exactly dodge it in time, she attempts to lessen the impact of his blow with an offensive move instead of a defensive one - attempting to hit his arm to knock it off balance.]
[Of course the demon can't play more than one trick, and with only one sword he realizes he is going to have to be more creative since he can't just let his hits be blocked and counter with the other sword.
And her attempt works very well, because as she's about to hit him, he vanishes again and appears about five feet behind where he was. That definitely made the blow less on Raine's part, but it also served to ensure Yuber didn't get in the least bit hurt.
And without a moment's hesitation the demon comes running towards her with a slash intended more to make one of her arms useless and the staff harder to use.]
[Raine takes two leaps back as quickly as she can once he reappears, ignoring the current sting in her arm for the moment. She then again attempts to counter the blow or at least lessen its intended impact, shifting her angle and trying to hit him with the staff.]
[And since now the staff was far less likely to hurt him with one arm in pain, he's going to catch the staff with his sword once she attempts to hit him.
Chances are the staff will hold up to it, but if it doesn't, that sure is a bonus. And for the first time the demon sure is cursing how much of a disadvantage it is to use one sword. He's tempted to swap it out now that it has drawn blood for his own swords, but not yet. He's not gotten enough blood quite yet.]
[The staff does hold up to it, luckily enough for her, though she pulls the staff free as she jumps back again, preparing to guard against whatever he might try next. There's a tree about two feet behind her now.]
[Good, with a tree not too far behind, she'll have a harder time moving backwards more to avoid him. Perhaps he should get her with her back to the tree and then he can use his Rune against her and destroy the tree also and annoy two certain forest residents.
So Yuber is going to strike again, with the full intent of merely forcing her to move backwards more. Then he will strike with something far more deadly.]
[Raine actually thought he'd teleport behind her again, but when he slashes forward with the sword, the automatic reaction is for her to jump back, then make an attempt to use that earth magic to trip him up like the last time.]
[He really does hate that earth magic too and he had forgotten about that and does find himself tripped up by it and stumbles a bit but quickly regains his balance.
Of course that might give Raine enough time to get out of the way of his next attempted hit.]
