It’s this inability to conceive of alternative approaches that leads to despair.

Interesting idea, really... but it's broken in a way. The article describes the creative process in terms of neuroactivity as a combination of divergent

Don't it tho? Only thing I've ever managed to get to work on this is to start taking a chainsaw to the constraints I'm trying to fit the answers inside of. Since no square peg with fit the round hole, make the hole bigger. But that chainsaw cuts both ways so it's no easy thing.
