So near the bottom of this article: www.newsweek.com/2010/07/10/the-creativity-crisis.html you find this line:

It’s this inability to conceive of alternative approaches that leads to despair.

Don't it tho? Only thing I've ever managed to get to work on this is to start taking a chainsaw to the constraints I'm trying to fit the answers inside of. Since no square peg with fit the round hole, make the hole bigger. But that chainsaw cuts both ways so it's no easy thing.
