I just discovered that when trying to post this entry, my SPN review for 7.13 had been assigned the date field for March 4, post-dated, instead of Feb 4, which is when I actually posted it. Weird. I corrected the posting date

I am on the verge of writing frigging fixit fic for this episode. Because seriously, what the hell is going on in Garcia's head that she thinks in any world ever that Morgan would get into something like that with her when she was blind drunk and distressed!? O.o

Nope - I totally see where you are coming from. It was just so weird for her to jump to that conclusion -- which is why I was so darned confused at the top of the episode. I think that was extremely sloppy writing, at best, and I didn't actually note, although I will now -- that I was annoyed to not see even a stretching correlation between the Garcia/Morgan situation and the unsub. Usually there is at least a loose tie-in/mirror to the personal story getting showcased, but ... nada. I sorta laughed off the ending explanation because it was either that or be annoyed it. And Morgan's confusion and reassurance was at least in character, so... there was that, at least. I guess. ;)

I may yet write fixit fic. If I was Morgan I'd be hurt Garcia thought I'd break her trust like that, and there are conversations that need to be had to make this right. It's just so much 'random sitcom plotline thrown in for lols and to hell with the characters' and ARG. The open was annoying me so much through the show and I kept wanting the to get back and deal with it, all I remember about the unsub was the gambling, the 8's, and that he was played by Dean Cain. *headdesk*

At this point I need to drink several bottles of wine. :-P
