*draws hearts around them going to slasher movies together*
"In the movies, the unsub is called the villain." Heeee!
There were SO MANY THINGS I was going to squee at you about but now I've lost my mind (partly because they played a repeat of a season two episode after and I'm getting the storylines scrambled.)
What I like about Strauss is that she's not just there as a foil for the team. She's got events going on in her life outside her interactions with the team, which adds dimension to her as a character.
Hotch really can't talk to anyone. He's got too big of a secret and too big of a responsibility to keep it. If some big stressor/event comes along while he's covering for Strauss... I'm really getting nervous about this finale.
So many good character bits - this felt like more the CM that I unconditionally love for the character bits and honestly don't look all that closely at the unsub bits in terms of plotting. It's not because any part of the story is noticably lacking, just... my focus is always going to be on the TEAM, and what affects them the most. Continuity, etc.
Jackpot. Strauss is awesome because she makes us look closer while still being her own person, as you note. *glee*
and *yikes* Yeah, I will join you on the nervous bench. I'm worried. There seems to be a certain setup going on, only I'm not sure which way it will swing.
What occurred to me today as I was running around in the five minutes between me getting home and the episode starting is not helping either.
See, it seems to me before JJ left, there were a couple 'JJ's gonna die!' fakeouts. Then there's Emily's actual/fake death. So going by the 'bad things happen in threes' there's likely to be an unequivocal character death in the finale. It's like the show itself is an unsub, and it's escalating.

I think too much about things sometimes though.
