But watch the heat on those 40 minute walks. You could just weigh down your vest like James does. He has a limited time to work out during the day so he just increases his weights.

I want to accomplish 30 minutes a day, at a minimum. So, a 2fer is probably about right.
It's currently in the 80s, and looking towards 96 next Tuesday. So yeah, Boise gets nice n toasty. Fortunately, most of my walking happens about 5 am. :) It's pretty nice out about then. (And, I have a park right behind the hotel! So, except for the chance of getting rolled by bums, it's pretty much a win/win sitch. *g*)
I can do the weight thing, once I get better at this. I have such a hard time sticking with an exercise plan, it's ridiculous, and upping the exertion isn't really the problem I face, so much as just getting my ass out there is.
Now today, this afternoon, even, I had skipped my walk this morning, and walked about a block down to the pizza/sandwich shop on the corner, and man my calves were hurting by the time I got there. So, apparently I'm stretching out a few muscles. This is good, in theory. ;)
