I believe I know what ails Ardent, and I believe I may be able to restore him to full health. However, I must ask your permission to bring a weapon into the infirmary. It is required for the ritual that will restore him.

I slew Ardent with an enchanted blade. The enchantment is such that I believe it is what left him in his current state.

Agreed to by all involved players:

Elric shows up with his sword inna box and reluctantly allows Sveta to be in the same room while he removes it. It glows and makes a lot of noise and clearly doesn't want to do what Elric wants it to do, but in the end he wins, and holds the sword over Ardent's body and chants something in a language that sounds kind of like "Shaarmraaam torjistoo quellahm vyeeanr". After a moment, the sword's runes glow really brightly, and Elric scratches a thin cut on Ardent's chest. At this point, something can be seen to move from the sword to Ardent's body, and then the dwarf wakes up.

After the ritual is over, Elric puts away the sword and, though visibly drained and weakened, insists on no help in getting back to his room. He apologizes to Ardent and heads off.
