I spent a few days and a few nights doing something that's become an annual ritual almost, that is taking a roadtrip with maman, in this case winding and weaving through bourgogne, drinking quite a bit of wine, even stopping at wineries and pestering the old ladies in this off-season, unlocking the cellars and groping in the dark for little sip sip ( Read more... )

Your Bourgogne adventures are making me envious (especially as I'm sitting here drinking a terribly boring Beaujolais...)
I wish you best of luck at getting an internship at the Louvre - perhaps you can arrange to be an assistant to the curator of contemporary work and have first access to all the latest? Do they have a contemporary gallery at the Louvre or only "historical" art?

nothing wrong with a healthy, boring beaujolais.
not a bad suggestion, really, i suppose i just need to figure out for myself what curatoral work entails.
and to my knowledge there isn't any contemporary work in the louvre proper, but they do sometimes lend their auditorium to art fairs and fashion shows and other events.

and thank you for your email, i only just got it! vive internet! I need a good think before i can articulate a proper reply. you must understand this stems from profound lack of art confidence, really.
