My thoughts on SPN 3.13 Ghostfacers

*sings* "Ghost..ghostfacers...we face the nightmare, we face the dread..." Man, the theme song is already stuck in my head and I've only heard it twice, lol!

Ok, so I was a little spoiled in that I knew it was going to be an "episode" of Ghostfacers with the two guys from Hell House, and that (almost) everything would be shot with hand-held cameras

although i am kind of disappointed. i mean, i was waiting 2 endless long months for THAT? i really enjoyed Hell House, but in Ghostfacers it was slightly too much of those ridiculous freaks ^_^;;

Yeah, I know what you mean. It was the same thing with Malleus Maleficarum after the previous big hiatus. I thought that was the least awesome episode of the four...so that means I will probably love the next three episodes to death! :D Especially since I've seen the promo for next episode and OMG!

Of course the deal had to be mentioned. Some people have said in their reviews there there was no real "need" for a lighter and funnier episode with only four episodes left in the season. I thought Jared said in an interview, or was it at Fangoria, that the episodes after the strike would be concentrating more on the mythic arc.

Sera and Kripke both gave interviews talking about the odd placement of this episode - basically after Jus In Bello and Mystery Spot they were SUPPOSED to give us a bunch of stand-alones. Ghostfacers was completed and the strike happened right as they were do final re-writes.

From Sera's interview: It's actually gone much more smoothly than I anticipated. One funny thing that happened: the first script in the hopper was almost complete before we left work, and it's kind of hilarious in its new context.
