I have been reading the series in The Vancouver Sun, about how "higher" math keeps valuable people out of work they are eminently suited for, even though that work does not use the math that defeated them. Power through it, Jen. It feels very, very important to fail at anything right now, because you are immersed in school culture and have been forever. Maybe time for a semester off, get some perspective, and understand that wherever you end up your GPA is not part of your future. If you really want to do this work, you will. If you have to take the fucking course 3 times you will. It's a setback, but it's the battle, not the war. Note: a man with a PhD in mathematics of some kind wrote in to the paper, and said he now owns a tech company and only hires arts majors, because they learn both logic and creative thinking, which is a much better preparation for life than learning to follow math rules. So big raspberries to math. yeah.
