Atwood is the bomb. Let me know how you like the book, I've never read that one.

I will.

And, this is a long shot, but are you interested in going to Sioux City on September 25 to see Ani Difranco? I'm dying to go but have no way to get there/no one to go with.

Is that a Saturday? *rummages for a calendar*

Sure! How much are tickets? Who else is playing?

Sounds like an adventure. Let's do it up!

Yup, it's a Saturday... tickets are 35 bucks and just went on sale on the 30th, so hopefully they haven't sold out. I think we can get them at ticketmaster.com.... doesn't say who the opener is, though.

Well, I'm not done yet, but I'm about 2/3 done and I only started five days or so ago, so two weeks should be plenty of time. It's really interesting.

Oryx and Crake is her most recent novel. Um... I can't remember a lot else that she's written... A Handmaid's Tale... Surfacing...

Patrick doesn't like the aftertaste of regular milk, so he drinks pretend milk. It's actually pretty good.

Oh really? I thought he might just be allergic or something... but it's a taste thing, huh? Well this is intriguing... I am interested in buying your rock... I mean milk... and I mean tasting... although I'm not particularly fond of almonds... does it taste like almonds? o.O

Going down, it tastes like nothing, but the aftertaste is kind of almondy. And vanilla-y if you get the vanilla flavour.
