I did end up digging through some of my flist from the past few days. I discovered that I missed both
agurkis and
rawles's birthdays.
I'm thoroughly enjoying Battlestar Galactica but it will never be discussed here. Never. I refuse to read fanfic, watch videos, or even look at picspams. (Icons will still be collected, though.) I am not entering the BSG

Also because BSG fandom is like totally hilarious, in general, and I've also met some ridiculously rad people there who I love dearly. And, honestly, as scary fandoms go, it's not particularly so.
But I think the "no picspams" make me saddest. Since that's like one of my major BSG fandom pursuits. And, really, what bad can come of all that pretty?
HANYWAY, I'm glad you like the show though I guess I'll never hear the reasons why. :)

Two: My problem with picspams is a fear of spoilers. While I am admittedly starting somewhere near the middle, I'd rather leave some things to surprise. For instance, I had read through all of your "History of Pilotsex" thing. Now I am grateful that I am incapable of remembering many specifics because that would take the suspense away in some areas. (Although I've only seen one episode in which your beloved OTP is onscreen together.)
Three: I've already been affected by you in that the minute I heard Anders' name I said "rawles hates him ( ... )

2) Ack, not from the beginning? That wounds me, but I can understand wanting to avoid spoilers under those circumstances. I thought you had already finished watching and were all caught up.
3) Heh. Honestly, I hate The Farm much, much more than I actually hate him. With the actual character, I'm more like: "What's the point of this ag-- *falls asleep*"
4) All good reasons :)
5) *feels accomplished!*

I'm not in to the BSG fandom myself, but I understand what you mean. Reading what other people think about a certain character can really ruin that character, IMO. Because then you start noticing faults and whatnot. Really annoying. I tend to read and comment on my f'list reviews of my fandoms though, but that's mostly because I know they won't slaughter the ones I love and vice versa. I hardly ever get involved further than that though.
