There is a picture of Michael Ballack in one of our local papers and he is crying. He is wiping away tears and it is making me cry too. I cannot take all of these pics of the boys crying and yet I am taking the time to add them to my memories. They played a hell of a game yesterday and deserved to win. I feel like Ballack really didn't get his chance to shine this WC, nor did he in 2002. Bring on WC 2010--third time has to be the charm, right?

I had been worried that Germany would make it to the final and win by a large margin in a somewhat boring game (because what's the fun of a game without tension?) Now I vote for an extremely fun bloodbath on Saturday in which Miro, Micha, Torsten, Lukas, and Jens (yes, Jens) all score goals. And Cristiano Ronaldo will weep like a baby. Again. I second the vote for a bloodbath (and move we open the floor to debate--oh, parliamentary procedure, how you haunt me). It would be wonderful if Jens scored a goal! Hey, if Ricardo can come out of the box to help his side, Jens should be allowed, too. (That reminds me of something I was wondering: Do you remember any of the other keepers coming that far out of the box during gameplay? Also, I think when the captain of Ghana had to leave the pitch, he gave the armband to Kingson--do you remember that happening in any other match? I just thought both instances were kind of odd.)
That manip is awesome! I would use it as my desktop if it didn't freak me out so much, but alas: I am a pansy at heart. Let's hope the crowd is superb once again on Saturday; I want some more boo'ing, please and thank you. :)
