Another month, another meltdown

Actually, the entire point of July is to avoid meltdowns.  To that end, I’m making it my goal to work through minor distractions-ie, upsets of my routine.

I do have a pretty set routine each day: I get up, eat breakfast, deal with the internet and all its vast wonder and horror, write a little (or, like today, actually leave the house and go deal ( Read more... )

Time management. I’m getting in exercise in the evenings fairly regularly, but I need to shift my sleep schedule so I can get some more in the mornings as well...

Watching the World Cup and Wimbledon, sometimes both at the same time, and all three daughters are in and out and around and about all summer, and two of them are in the final arrangements stage for their autumn weddings so you can imagine the tension levels, and building up a head of promotion steam for my debut release, and beneath of of that I'm trying to write my follow-on book and defy the fear that it won't be as good as the one it's supposed to follow.

And breathe.

Continue nurturing the little bit of "Don't hate the day job" work in which I've made some progress in the last few weeks.
