Yer not crazy, mate. You're incredibly imaginative and creative. This is, by far, the most AU idea I've ever heard for a fandom universe and, I'm surprised at this, I find it an oddly interesting idea. I'm surprised because I'm typically not one for something like this.

I say give it try, mate. I'll read it and see how it goes.

The funny thing is that I can see Norrington in a Highway Patrol man's uniform totally and completely (minus the wig of course), Will Turner in a mechanic's suit/uniform with the pony tail, Jack as hippy-like drunk trucker (gotta keep Jack's hair...wouldn't be Jack without the hair, lol), and the dear Captain in a designer suit that has seen better days but with that braid of his (or just a ponytail). I can see Pintel and Ragetti in all this as well (love those two comics)...overalls, I think. I can see the entire thing but I can't imagine any of 'em with an Oklahoma (or any US state, especially not New York) accent.
