I think this was probably from
scrollgirl at one point. But I'm watching Studio 60 right now, and while there are many things I love about the show, its treatment of its women is so far from one of them. Not its women characters, but what the show does to them. So I thought I'd try and finish this post. I guess it may kind of be a '
fuck you, she's awesome'

But but but - Veronica! Donna! Kara! Scully! Tosh! Wonder Woman! Dana! Buffy&Willow! *happysigh* So much love.
Also: mmmmmm, women with bows. I was so that kid. If someone had given me a bow and arrow and a wooden sword when I was six I would have been so happy. :D
And no, I don't care if she smokes and drinks and swears and cuts her hair short - none of those things in any way detract from her awesome.
Yessssss. I love that you are in no way dumb enough to have fallen for that particular line and never could be. <333
*twirlsyou* Okay, I need to do this. ♥

*g* I am in favour of this plan. My articulacy is lacking on the subject of their awesomeness.

I see your mmmm and raise you an ohhhhhh. It's another one of those things I suspect would be more fun in theory than in practice, but so very cool looking.

Hey, Starbuck is hot in all occasions and hair-styles. And with the cigars. (Again, theory rather than practice). Mmmm, Starbuck... And see how my list has digressed from female-awesomeness into girlcrushing. Am a bad person. ;)

ITA Dana & Natalie's friendship. Don't always love *how* Sorkin did women (props to Wells on that count) but he created some incredible female characters.
And WW and Hawkgirl! They are literally from different worlds but form an interesting friendship that is (as you say) not dependent on the boys. The toons are awesome :D

*g* Thanks. I love TP's women, and I'm having a yen for Circle of Magic right now. And possibly buying some more. My collection is sadly lacking. But you're right, I love that about Sandry too. Takes a certain kind of strength to just do that, especially after what she's gone through. I love them all really :)

He did. And you're right about Wells vs Sorkin on that count, which I think is maybe something I forget amongst my problems with the later seasons. I do love Dana and Natalie together though. I think, in West Wing especially, they talk a lot about 'the women', but they don't seem to talk to each other a lot. Which bugs me when I think about it too much. I like that Dana and Natalie genuinely seem to be friends.
The toons are awesome :D:D They totally are. Was watching last night and feeling the S/B love. And also the Hawkgirl and Wonder ( ... )
