And I'm really getting pulled in to Porn Battle this time round because a) I feel like I can actually write sex now and b)Many pretty prompts ;)

(I'll just pretend my uni work doesn't exist for a bit longer)

Yay! It has gotten to the point that I look forward to Porn Battle almost as much as Yuletide. (Granted I've only been actually writing in either of them for a year!) But you should definitely play. Many pretty prompts, and the maximum you can write is about 700 words or so. Easy ;)

Definitely ;) Much easier than 500 words about the significance/meaning/insights into life revealed by a map of the Forbidden City *g*

(And that's interesting thoughts on The Dark Knight - I'm going to see it this week and it's something to think about)

Ick. Sometimes I'm really glad I'm done with uni. Other times less so, but it's more the city than the essays!)

(And you scared me there - I thought I hadn't cut-tagged and inadvertently spoiled you! Not that there's much in there that I didn't know before seeing it...)

Joss never indicated throughout it all that Penny was meant to be anything more, but Rachel is implied to be strong and confident... but isn't.
I think that may be close to what bothered me about her, yes. I liked Penny, even though we got so little of her. To me anyway, it felt like there was more underneath that we weren't seeing because Billy didn't see it. And you're right, Rachel never really feels more than a cypher - you know there's meant to be more to her, but the script doesn't make much of an attempt to show that to us. But yeah, it's less than fun to examine the issues in great detail...

The Dr. Horrible/The Joker comparasson is a fun one! :D
*g* I'm so glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that! In that particular scene it just jumped out at me :) And yes, their goals aren't the same at all, it was just fun to look at the different ways villainy's expressed. More fun trains of thought!

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to stretch my brain :) Thanks for talking back - meta entries into the ether depress me rather ( ... )

We both assumed that Harvey Dent's identity was common knowledge as part of the canon, but this was apparently not the case

you know, i assumed that too, forgetting for a moment that i am a comic geek and others probably didn't even watch the animated series, much less read the comics. i was actually talking about the various ways harvey dent has become two-face in the comics, cartoons, movies, etc. while in queue and people accused me of spoiling the movie for them. ha!

anyway, seems like we have a few things in common and i love your writing style, so i'm adding you. :)

*adds you right back* Hi!

See it's not even like I'd call myself an expert in Bat-canon (though my brother probably is), it's just what I think of as a base level of facts. But they're apparently not - it's so weird! Now I'm glad we didn't go to a very crowded screening, because Lord knows what we would have 'spoiled' people for...
