"the grief she felt once, hardly knowing she felt it, to merely inhabit herself"

I am very glad to have finished the Dystopia-fic, even if I don't like it anymore. There's only so many times you can kill people before it starts to affect you. We end up in the eternal question of: am I miserable because of what I write, or do I write what I write because I'm miserable ( Read more... )

Alan Cumming in a red dress (a pdf, so large-ish). Sadly he doesn't wear that during the show, but rather a gold tunic-like one, with a curly wig. It's beautiful.

The whole festival experience was great, even if I could have stayed much longer. I wanted to see A Doll's House (performed in a doll's house) but we couldn't stay. Still, I'll be going back next year if I can. Have you been?

Oh, and I can't think of anything else I'd rather do than work in the theatre all day, so it is currently my favourite anywhere-but-here. If only I was not too poor to afford my Technical Theatre diploma, let alone a building to put a company in!

*huggles* I am very jealous of you getting to go to Edinburgh. Next year...

Though, re: EuroDisney: in my experience, it's all very English, even offpeak, so unless you speak near-fluent French, they'll switch into English. On the other hand if you ever want to go again, my pass runs until February sometime (not sure when the restricted days it doesn't work on are but...)

*cuddles* miss you lots. Interviews are silly; sorting all my possessions is less so, if a bit depressing that my life is in boxes waiting for me to move out of here..... is it October you might be in Oxford? Do you know when yet?

Dresden Files was cancelled... :( Why do so many things I love end ignominiously?
Heh. I haven't seen the show yet, obviously (will it ever make it all the way to Belgium??), but I read the books this summer after someone recc'ed them on LJ, and loved them. So much so, in fact, that I wonder if I'm even going to give the show a try, because there's just no way I'll like it as much as the books.
I haven't really looked at spoilers for the show, but there's no way they could have kept what I liked the most, is there? :)
Still, sorry it was cancelled. It always sucks when a show you like disappears at such a young age.

I'm reading the fourth book as we speak and love them very much :)
The show bears only a passing resemblance to the books actually, but I really liked it, and it was the reason I started reading the books. They have a similar sensibility, although some canon-diversions. And the show is rather less dark. But, really, if you can't have a fantasy detective show on the sci-fi channel, where can you have it?!
