Really: Loving in the war years

I wish the Red Sox wouldn't lose. It's disheartening, and it upsets my brother. But this is baseball, and unlike in football (soccer) you expect to lose quite a few games. Still.

Also - TWW AU Ficathon is nearly over. With a large number of stories in, and most other people telling me they'll be late. It's almost ( Read more... )

Come and live in my other room in Oxford? There's lots of room...

Oh, sweetie, that plan sounds lovely, but I need to earn money at some point... If only I had a job in Oxford. Or a house with no mortgage...

...you could do what David Heales did and work in the college Development Office or something, maybe? Or if not, you're still more than welcome to come stay (Oxford or Somerset) whenever you get chance - otherwise I might have to come find you *nods*

I wish they wouldn't put it on at quarter to two on a Wednesday night when I'm trying to write. Waaah. But yes - no losing. Weren't they winning when you texted me?

I'm not going to be all: see, look - it was easy, no hands! Because I know it wasn't that way and I'm really not Little Miss Ficathon Face right now, but I'm so glad you did it. *twirls you* Because there looks to be some bloody amazing stuff in here - everything I've looked at it astonishing. So yay, we, the Coalition, are a force for good? ;)

Proper feedback being formulated now (god knows how many comment boxes it'll come to) but I totally stand by what I said - it's genius. And I think it's your best yet. *shrug* (And, I mean, I don't know well enough either and I don't have enough distance because I'm having the same problem with mine, but I think you sell the setting. It's hard to imagine straight off the bat because we're used to what we're used to, but I can see them all there now. And you put 'The Forward' in! Which isn't *period* detail, per se, but takes me to ( ... )

:( Spurs lost too. It's been a bad few days for my teams.

See, I'm so very in awe of your ability to run minis month after month. Because this was so stressful, and so worried about the possibility of no one entering, and then no one finishing... And honestly, the biggest surprise was the fact that people actually said thank you after they finished. I feel like I should be saying thank you to you all the time

So yay, we, the Coalition, are a force for good? ;)
*nods emphatically* We are the queens of fannish participation... ;)

Oy. Now I'm out of that age bracket. Should that depress me? *sighs* I wish you lived nearer to me, I really do. Then we could be those cool girls I see around who share flats with their friends.I think my problem is that really I want to live in a sitcom, and have a very expensive beautiful flat that I share with my friend and yet have little discernable income. And also I would be funny all the time. * ( ... )

*soothes* I think I really must find the whole process slightly addictive, or there's no way I could do it every month. Not that I'm not looking forward to a break from it, having said that. But the only part I really hate is match-ups, and only because it's like maths in my brain!

I feel like I should be saying thank you to you all the time
Psshh. I feel like I should be thanking the people who take part every time, or almost every time. Of which you are one of course. Because it wouldn't work otherwise.

*makes little paper crowns* ;)

So we're living in our Friends dvds, basically? ;) Yes I could go for that. Or one of those huge airy lofts in NY you used to get in all the 80s movies? Always wanted one of those. *sigh* Stupid money. S'not fair. *sulk*
