"You people and your quaint little categories" - Capt Jack Harkness

Chah. You know, there are days, good days, when I would still be in bed right now. Who plans a theatre meeting at 9am? I mean, the occasional lecture, sure - but theatre meetings? And then I have another one at 3.15 - after my tutorial. Which is going to go badly for me because I don't know anything about meta-ethics. Somedays I really do think I ( Read more... )

Boy meets boy. Loves him. Dies.
Is it weird of me to like that one? (*Must* stop writing/thinking about death!fic. Really must stop that ... before Huck becomes the latest victim. Yeah, I know. That's why I'm sick.)

I really really love this one: Starlet sex scandal. Giant squid involved. - Margaret Atwood. Atwood is so much better when she's funny, methinks. :) And Joss's rocks, of course. *hearts him*

How about:

Everybody loved him; he ran away.
Dreaming in California, darkness in D.C.
Little boy lost, father needed back.

(Yeah, brevity is not the mother of *my* invention, clearly. *g*)

On the plus point, I have a thought for some more of Westward Look.
Ooh! Ooh! *excited* I miss my boys. I miss you writing my (our) boys, even though you just did. *sigh* Pity that all invention as regards 'Bright Exhalation' has gone ... :(

*g* No, it's not weird. I'm in a death!fic place too. Or at least a miserable one. I was writing the Sam/Toby in the shower, as one does, and Sam was happy, and Toby didn't know why. And I don't either. Sam is, or should be, my authorial avatar, and yet Toby and I understand each other much better. Sam is just in love, and doesn't think Toby loves him back, but has returned anyway, because Toby needed him. Which is lovely of him, but I don't know how to bring it back into balance. I think Toby needs to make a house-sized gesture (which is twistyness in action if you had seen the plot so far) but I don't know what it is.

*g* That bore little relation to what you said. I guess the thing is - I want to be writing too.

I like this one. I think I know what you're thinking of too, but it's pretty and sad.

I write them in the bath (in my head). Many a bizarre line that later needed to be cut originated at bath time. ;)

*nods* Yeah. I know that story. Like, the CJ/Toby story I'm writing for minis is in 1st person with CJ as the narrator and I tried to switch over and write Toby in the 1st person and I *couldn't* do it. It wasn't him. Which is deeply odd since Toby is definitely my avatar.

Sam is just in love, and doesn't think Toby loves him back, but has returned anyway, because Toby needed him.
*sniff* Seems kinda right to me ... but yeah, without context I'm a bad source of advice. I am all in favour of house-sized gestures though (even if they end in horror and heartbreak) ... I think BrightExhalation!Toby's going to need to do something similar as well. Hmm. (Although for him actually saying 'I love you' would probably count as such.)

I think I know what you're thinking of too, but it's pretty and sad.*glows* Sadness and Huck go hand ( ... )

... The desire to just give you this and let you fix it...

But it's so full of holes I don't even know if you'd follow it, let alone be able to give concrit. I mean, it's still missing the scene before the break-up...

kah. Why can't I just bore it out of my brain?
