Welcome to the Angel Chronicles Universe:
In this place, Science threatens Faith. True enough both have existed, one supplying answers where the other cannot, sometimes supporting each other by telling the same story from different sides. But now Science threatens something far simpler than a belief, now there are lives at stake. Man is risking the wrath of Heaven, a select few hunting Heaven’s Sons and Daughters. These Humans serve what they have named “The Haven”, a strong-hold against the “Threat” of Angel-Kind.
It is unclear how “The Haven” began, unclear who the first scientists were and how they came to discover the beings they call “Kin”. Kin, the descendants of Angels, gifted far beyond mortal men. Once their existence was known, the Haven pooled resources and began to capture and study them, firmly set on putting the Kin to their own uses. Some are extraordinarily beautiful, some gifted or skilled, some possess powers unlike the world has seen.
All are the victims, and the prey, of The Haven.
But “Man” and “Kin” are not the only things that walk this Earth. There are also the Dark Kin: those who are the children of Angels that fell long ago; as well as the Demon-born, the children of those in Hell. All of these exist amongst humans, unnoticeable in the day to day rush. But it gets harder to hide their true nature, especially as more and more of them are captured and dragged off to be studied and tested.
And then there is the matter of ‘MateCall’, a Kin’s greatest gift and weakness. They all seek the other half of their Soul, a Mate to share the rest of their lives with. But to find this Mate is to expose them to the scrutiny of The Haven, the possibility of danger and probability of death. Still, there is a need to find that one, to claim and protect him or her until their lives are at an end.
And still the Haven hunts them down like animals.
But the Kin are far more than simple beasts or mere humans, and soon enough, the Haven will recognize that for itself. With a little help from Heaven, some unexpected aid from Hell, and more luck than any three species could hope to have, they will win the peace they all fight for and surely deserve.
It will surely be a Story Worth Telling.

OMFG I'm both brave and incredibly stupid to do so, but here's hoping I'll get some new readers who love this story as much as you guys seem to! It's fairly short and simple (and somewhat dramatic?) but works to give you a rough idea before you jump in, right?
