A little leeway on deviation can inform the discourse and he'd have to give room to the Member quoting a constituent, or citing a report (though not at length).
In fact this approach would make electoral debates much more fun too. Think of all the repetition that would be cut out if the candidate knew he'd have to give way to the challenging opponent every time he tried to employ any spin. :D
LED displays corresponding with Members' challenge buttons would also indicate which were quickest to correctly challenge (giving an indication of who is paying attention).
PMQs Bingo would almost certainly suffer, but it would be worth it. :)
