Peony stared at him with a frown. “Come on, stop calling me Your Majesty when we’re alone like this!”
“I have no right to do that, Your Majesty. That would mean dishonoring the whole Malkuth Empire.”
“Who made that rule?! I want you to call me PEONY! You used to have no problem with calling me PEONY!”
In another story, when one avoided to call his lover without his title, that would mean that person wanted to keep his distance. Angsty reasons.
But in this case, Jade only did it because he found Peony’s reaction amusing.

“You know, Jade, I kinda feel jealous of Dist.”
Jade raised an eyebrow at his Emperor, a distasteful expression filled his face. “I can’t comprehend how you could come to that. Moreover, to even bring up a subject involving that flamboyant drama king.”
Peony the Ninth shrugged as his fingers continued to play with the strands of the smooth brown hair. “He was the only one who could drive you so mad until you lose control. I guess I kinda feel outran.”
“What are you talking about?” Jade turned his attention back to the book he had been reading, decided that Peony’s little fret didn’t worth further discussion. “You made me lose control a lot of times.”
“Oh,” Peony’s eyes lightened and a smirk began to spread, “Oh. Of course.”
Jade rolled his eyes, “And I’m not talking about whatever on your mind, Your Majesty.”

Pairing: Peony x Jade

“You looked unsurprised to see me, Your Majesty,” Jade said when the two of them had been left alone in Peony’s room, the night after Jade went back from the long journey.
“Am I supposed to?” Peony asked with a smile, one of his hand caressing the fonist’s cheek, while the other one sneaked around Jade’s waist.
“Well, the news was I died in Akzeriuth.” Jade let himself being pulled into an embrace.
“Oh come on! You wouldn’t die that easily. I always knew my Jade would come back to me.” The Emperor kissed the side of Jade’s face, trailing it to his lips. “I never once thought you were dead, you know.”
“Then I guess what Nephry said about you crying at night was only a rumor?”
“Ah, rumors, rumors.” Peony waved it away, trying to put up his rare serious look, “Always filled with little, unnecessary details.”

p.s.: now i want to play the sims badly D: because i'm jealous of those kaoxtotchi sims, and tales of the abyss sims got jade and peony ready to download. even rappig as a pet.
