Well, maybe it is a bit.

Let me put things this way:
Let's say you go to a bar. Say you meet two people, one of which you would be interested in having some form of "romantic relations" with, and one you'd be interested in just being friends with. Which one do you spend your time with if you only had time for one?

I mean, c'mon. We all pretend that we would not make that choice, but we're all human, here.

And I hate to say this, but it could be worse. She could have tried to "do the nice thing" by not hurting his feelings and just stringing him along until he got the hint. In my mind, that is worse. At least she was honest.
