I love my melting pot

No I didn't get new kitchenware - I couldn't have used it anyway because the entire contents of our kitchen including things like, oh, the diswasher, are curently scattered all over the living room and hallway and will remin so until the new floor and cabinetry is complete. Which should be today. I hope.

My neighborhood is somewhat melting pot-like but it is only just becoming that way, so sometimes I can sense the tension between the Old Guard and the New. But I will admit it's nice to see the kids on my street, in all different colors and creeds, running around crazy together.

Also? What are moonflowers? I was considering planting morning glory next weekend to hide my ugly chain link fence...are moonflowers similar?

Moonflowers are the same family as Morning Glory but they bloom at night instead of the morning :)

I love this story! How wonderful! BTW, Will's nursery school takes them to the gardening center by our house a couple times a week and the kids plant seeds and tend to a garden patch there, so you have another helper in training.
