I am incredibly entertained by this story thus far, but I wanted to let you know there's a small typo here: "but it's the only thing that gives me life meaning."

Also, more detailed comments to come at the end, but I love this bit: Windows - rarely a good sign, he sincerely hoped it was only on laptops and that the main systems had something more robust

I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm loving this. I can't think it will get any better and then it DOES. How did you THINK of this? Schroedinger's Bomb. This weapon is positively ingenious! And Ianto's knowledge of it, and the less than subtle UNIT rivalry, and Tosh hacking them and IANTO KNOWING THE PASSWORDS BY HEART... <3

Yikes! It's a race against time to find the Quantum Bomb before it detonates, b ut no one seems to have a clue where to start! I bet Tosh could track exactly where the energy readings originated - if Ianto could only get in touch with Torchwood.
