This is the most insane twist on post-Countrycide I've ever seen, with the most compelling mixture of manipulative bastard and genuinely compassionate Jack and absolutely the right mix of practicality and apathy from has-lost-his-way(-but-not-his-snark) Ianto.

Question to self: why haven't I heard of either you or this fic before?

A UNIT training course - how devious of Jack, not even giving Ianto any warning. I like that Ianto knows everything about the weapons, except how to fire them. By the time he finishes the course, he'll be able to fire all of them and hit what he's aiming at, I hope.
