Web Hosting and new website

Apr 12, 2006 12:49

Okay everyone, I have decided that it is time to try out having a website. Any suggestions on webhosting or a good place to get started?
I've been looking at yahoo small business stuff this morning but I have no clue on this stuff so your thoughts would be helpful.

a website (man the first time i typed that word it was all kinds of jumbled!) for selling your handmade stuff? i've been wanting to take the leap into selling stuff for awhile now, i just don't know where to start, so i unfortunately have no suggestions, but let me know how it goes.

Yeah I have been needing to get one up for a while and just haven't taken the chance. Now I just kind of figure that if the monthly fee isn't that high I can do it. I'm sure I will post alot as it gets started. I think that if I have a couple months to get it up an running that for sure by fall when people start buying that sort of thing I will be good to go.

Thanks I will look at them too. I keep meaning to tell you how cool it was to get my happy hooker book and see your stuff in there. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to as soon as I attempt to finish the skirt :)
So do you have anything up your sleeve for the next crochet me? I can't wait to see what they put out next.

Thanks for the info I will be starting all of that in the next month or two so I'm sure I will be posting like mad.

I really like Powweb. They're $7.77 a month with tons of space and bandwidth. Rob (boyfriend) and I are both with them. We switched from Prohosting (overpriced) and have been with them for a couple years now. I paid for a whole year at once and got something like 3 months free.
